The Louiseville plant was built in 1946. Between 1946 and 2004, several companies followed one after the other, eventually being bought by Cascades inc. in 1980 (Les Matériaux Cascades). Then Matériaux Spécialisés Louiseville inc. (MSL) acquired it in 2004.
