Maison Bioclimat was born from the reflection on climate change and natural disasters that are taking place in the world and in particular “The ice storm of 1998 … one of the greatest natural disasters in Canadian history”.
From this point of view, we came up with the idea of building energy-efficient residential buildings under the “Passivhaus” and LEED standard.
Our concern for the planet’s energy balance, our passion for design and our dream of building high-performance buildings have led it to adapt naturally to the “Passivhaus” standard. These ideals prompted us to design the first integrated residential development project under the “Passivhaus” standard in Quebec, aligning methodologies and best practices in sustainable construction, around low energy.
